Set with a core of new synthetic fibre. Includes four strings. In the year 1998 the Obligato strings from the Pirastro company set the basis for the developing of a totally new string generation. Initially designed only for violin, the Obligato strings are now available also for double bass. They possess a warm and focused sound and offer a big tonal, powerful volume. The easiest response and the highest degree of modulation are significant for a very high quality standard. Advantageous for these new synthetic strings compared to gut strings is the longer durability and the resistance against temperature and humidity changes. The Obligato strings can be used for both Arco and Pizzicato. Designed for vibration length of 106cm (41.73"). Fits for standard 3/4-size instruments, often also for 4/4-size.
